As discussed by Mike Arrington at TechCrunch, there were a number of people who wondered why Lastfm wasn’t part of the initial applications that launched on Facebook. Although the iLike application could be clearly seen, Lastfm was speaking volumes by its abcense. Was it a move to create an application elsewhere? Was it something that Facebook had against Lastfm? Did Lastfm not like being poked by Facebook?
But we don’t need to worry anymore!!!! There is now a great Lastfm application on Facebook and EVEN BETTER THAN THAT, you do not have to be a Lastfm user to play around with it. If you are a Lastfm user the process is easy to create your own playlist. If you aren’t a Lastfm user, the player will automatically select the tracks from your Facebook profile to create your playlist.
