Highlighted as one of the ones to watch in the TechCrunch40, Thembid is a service which allows consumers/businesses to post requests for work. These requests can be as simple as a need for plumbing, and can be categorised by size, length of time it might take, etc. I believe it could also be further used for bidding for work in a similar vain to Openad.net, which we have talked about previously. This would mean individual companies could openly bid, transparently, to compete against bigger players for the work….after all this should all be about skill set not size.
Anyway, check it out…not sure if its available in the UK yet…
