I often get asked what am I thinking about this year on the way the market is going to develop….so I thought I would put some ideas on here…
- 2008 will be the year that advertisers go large on Mobile advertising
- Broadcast TV and digital will work together to become a single voice on video. Broadcasters will see online as a supplementary area for them rather than a competitor. Different audiences, different routes to programming.
- It will be 5 years before online spend overtakes TV spend, but they will balance off against each other by 2009
- Creating great content is key for brands to work within digital space
- Agencies will drive content distribution deals
- Consumers will be able to decide between ad-free paid for subscription models or ad-funded non-paid for models for Mobile phones, Video Games, Radio Stations, On-Demand content, Broadband usage, hmm what else?
